Let's play spot the baby!
Can you find Baby P? Ok, this one is a lot easier to see than our very first ultrasound... but it's still fun. This was taken at 12 weeks, but I'm officially 16 weeks now.I had my first unofficial Mama's Day this past Sunday. It was crazy to get so many presents/calls/texts! KP bought some awesome flowers and signed them from 'Fetus P.'
Here's what the card said:
"You are already a great mommy. If my arms were fully developed I would hug you."
Love,
Fetus P
Do you think the baby knows how crazy its dad is? I dunno...
Yet another nice present-- I even felt Fetus P move while I was holding my belly at Brian and Ashley's wedding on Mama's Day too!

PAINT
Paint. One syllable. Sounds simple enough. But it is anything but simple. IT IS HARD WORK PICKING OUT PAINT! I'm exhausted. Thank goodness for mom and grandma coming down to help out.
KP, stop making fun of the blog. You like it.

Waiting no more! We are homeowners.
After about total eight months of searching for 'the' place, and two months on this particular house... and we got the AWESOME congratulations call from our AWESOME realtors that we are officially homeowners. Rancho Bernardo here we come!
The funniest part? They called me first to tell me ('ladies first' they said). Then I got to call and tell KP. Here he does all the work -- the countless phone calls and trips to the place; the signing and reviewing of multiple documents; the back and forth with all folks... and I get the final call. Poor guy! He even pointed out tonight that I got to do the best parts -- picked the place initially, then tell him we officially own it!
But I have to give kudos to my hubby for doing such an amazing job in making this happen. That was our 'deal' -- I planned the wedding and he got to handle the real estate. I was so proud of him throughout the whole thing. He was super detailed with everything and had the answer everytime I had questions.
Mission accomplished babe! CHECK.

Waiting...
Alrighty -- we should be closing on the house this week now... finally! Only a few weeks behind. At least it wasn't our problem, and hey, we got a better interest rate out of the wait (woohoo).
Then the real fun begins... painting, furniture, decorating... EEEEK!

My Wifey
I just wanted to let my wife know how much I love her. I know we haven't seen each other much lately, but I am so excited for everything we have in our IMMEDIATE future I can't even explain it. Keep working hard and making me proud... I will do the same.

Holy... House
We found out yesterday that we were approved on a house in Rancho Bernardo. CRAZY!! It's so weird to finally know that the "Pending" status on a listing is finally us. Details to come... hopefully it all works out...

And the Oscar goes to...
My amazing hubby. I love him more and more everyday.
You're the best Kev - and don't worry about ANYTHING. Everything always works out. And it will because you're the best. Love you, boo. hehe

Today is the Day
On this day I will walk through houses number 4,000 and 4,001 trying to buy us a home. Two things are for sure... we WILL find a place, and Brooklyn will want to lay on the couch next to us (like she is now) when we find it.
If I don't get one today I'm going straight to Barnes & Noble to buy a self-help book.
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!!!

I suck at this...
So I'm not very great at blogging.... and as my hubby pointed out, I didn't post anything about our great Valentine's Day, so here goes:
The Pendleton "Half Class, Half Trash Valentine's Day Bash" Timeline
-- KP picked up yummy Alaskan King Crab legs and the BEST shrimp from Point Loma Seafood
-- We went and walked through two houses :)
-- Cooked our giant crab legs and shrimp din din, complete with homemade mashed potatoes, veggies, and the BEST champagne
-- THEN, took our Coors Lights over to the stadium to fire up for SUPERCROSS! (haha)
-- Back home for dessert: Strawberry shortcakes with yummy ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream.
It was a great day and one of the best dinner's KP's ever cooked (and he cooks a ton). I am a lucky lucky girl!

O Happy Day... & Weekend
Today was a good day... and this weekend was great. I'm feeling good, great weather, got good sleep, caught up with friends, caught up on shows, played and ran with puppy, cleaned. Only thing missing was KP since he was at work Saturday & Monday :). But we had a great Sunday together complete with a soccer game and a BBQ (and KP scored 2 goals - baller). It's also MLK day and almost the big Obamauguration... very exciting times. Hopefully the rest of the week will be just as good.

Really??
Courtney has jury duty again today... she's had it EVERY year since we have been married!! I guess the citizens of San Diego just can't function without her... I don't blame them.

Happy Birthday KP!

It's technically just passed KP's 31st birthday, but wanted to wish him a happy bday one more time since he just finally went to bed! He was so exhausted/overwhelmed with all of the calls, texts, etc. he got today, it was cute :). And now since he's officially part of my family too, he's now experienced why I am so crazy in remembering everyone's bdays -- EVERYONE in my family will call you/send you a card on your bday. So, he received those additional wishes this year too.
Here's a photo of the little cake I made him the other night too :).

Brooklyn
Brooklyn is the best pup in the world. I'll give most credit to KP on this one. She just celebrated her 1st bday on Dec. 30, so I guess we have to stop calling her puppy.
But as I sit here, updating things on the computer... puppy is sitting in one of her classic positions that just cracks me up and made me write a post. Imagine this: hind legs up on the couch - front legs on the tile floor - head on the coffee table. WHAT?! She is hilarious.
Insomnia...
